Oil History

Vetiver is known to be the calming oil, but it has been used for different functions in different countries throughout world history.

Muslims in India powderize the Vetiver and put it in a sachet to bring away pests.

The Javanese used Vetiver to make mats and thatched roofs for hundreds of years.

There is a well-known European perfume called "Indian Islam", which contains Vetiver, sandalwood, benzoin, thyme, and rose. Vetiver was often used as a fixative in perfume.

Before the first World War, the Javanese exported a lot of dry Vetiver roots to Europe for the distillation of essential oils, but since the route was congested, they began to distillate Vetiver roots locally, and they called it "Aka Wang Qi" or Akarwangi.

Magic Formula

  • For acne - Directly smear the oil to the acne. Use vetiver essential oil + 2ml drops of grape seed oil. You can also use 50 ml of aloe vera gel + 3 drops of vertiver + 2 drops of rose + 3 drops of cypress.
  • For the treatment of beriberi - Soak feet in basin of warm water with 5-10 drops of Vetiver Essential Oil, and gently massage them with aromatherapy bath salts.
  • Oily Skin - Wash your face with 1 drop of Vetiver Essential Oil per wash regularly.
  • Bath - To feel more refreshed, enhance imminuty, and strengthen the function of red blood cells, add the following to your bath: Vetiver + 2 drops rosemary + 3 drops of orange Huiqing
  • To Calm Your Mood - Vetiver + 3 drops rosewood, 2 drops of marjoram

Physiological effect
